Un progetto transdisciplinare che, attraverso scultura, fotografia e video, tenta di raccontarre il dramma della migrazione a partire dal naufragio di Cutro del 26 febbraio 2023, traendo ispirazione dalla poesia di Franco Costabile sull’emigrazione e sull’abbandono delle terre. L’artista ha trascorso diversi mesi, insieme ad associazioni no-profit, nei luoghi della Calabria Ionica dove quotidianamente sbarcano migranti africani e mediorientali, recuperando alcuni effetti personali che il mare ha restituito dopo il naufragio.

A transdisciplinary project which, through sculpture, photography and video, attempts to narrate the drama of migration starting from the Cutro shipwreck of 26 February 2023, drawing inspiration from and inverting Franco Costabile’s poetics on leaving and arriving. The artist spent several weeks in the places of Ionian Italy, where African and Middle Eastern migrants regularly disembark, giving help together with non-profit associations and working with the personal effects that the sea returned after the shipwreck.
